This glossary is regularly updated to reflect the evolutions of Neyos products.

| 5G NTN | (Non-Terrestrial Network) 5G extension enabling satellite connectivity. Used by Neyos to ensure service continuity in areas without cellular coverage. |
| Alias | Custom name assigned to a tracker to simplify its identification on the platform. |
| Neyos API | Programming interface (under development) that will allow direct interaction with the platform: data retrieval, configuration and billing management. |
| Bimode (GSM / NTN) | Hybrid operation combining cellular network (CAT-M / NB-IoT) and satellite to guarantee data transmission in all circumstances. |
| Cellular (CAT-M / NB-IoT) | Low-power networks used for terrestrial connectivity: CAT-M for speed and range, NB-IoT for energy efficiency. |
| Network coverage | Geographic area where partner operators provide connectivity for the Neyos SIM card. Depends on agreements between MVNO and local operators. |
| Consumption credits | Units used to measure and bill satellite transmissions based on the type and size of messages sent. |
| Element | Data contained in a message (e.g.: position, event or log). Each element has a unique identifier and timestamp. |
| Cellular billing | Fixed annual plan including unlimited connectivity on GSM / LTE-M networks. |
| Firmware | Embedded software in the tracker, which can be updated to improve performance or add features. |
| GNSS Fix | Indicates the positioning accuracy obtained by the tracker (2D or 3D). |
| GNSS | (Global Navigation Satellite System) Satellite positioning systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS...). |
| Heartbeat | Periodic "heartbeat" signal sent to indicate that the tracker is active, even without data transmission. |
| IMEI | Network identifier linked to the SIM card, allowing authentication on the cellular network. |
| MCC / MNC | (Mobile Country Code / Mobile Network Code) Codes identifying the country and operator of the network used by the tracker. |
| Neyos Message | Data block sent by the tracker containing one or more elements: GPS position, event, log or configuration. |
| MVNO | (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) Virtual operator partner of Neyos, responsible for cellular connectivity via several international networks. Neyos relies on their infrastructure. |
| P/N (Product Number) | Neyos internal product reference corresponding to a specific hardware version. |
| Pay-per-use | Billing mode based on actual satellite connectivity usage, without fixed subscription. |
| Neyos Platform | Web interface centralizing management, supervision and configuration of OTRAC trackers. Also allows data integration and consumption management. |
| RSRQ | (Reference Signal Received Quality) Measures the quality of the cellular signal received by the tracker. |
| S/N (Serial Number) | Unique tracker serial number, visible on the product and on the platform. |
| Tracker | GPS tracker identified on the Neyos platform by a serial number (S/N) and an IMEI. |
| Webhook | Mechanism allowing the Neyos platform to automatically send tracker data to an external server (client application, API, etc.). |
